The Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership (TVWLP) has a vision of creating a wetland landscape, rich in wildlife and accessible to all. There are 22 organisations on the Partnership and the Board consists of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, the Canal & River Trust, the Environment Agency, North Warwickshire Borough Council, the RSPB, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Warwickshire County Council.
Going forward, the Tame Valley Wetlands Community Forum (previously referred to as Friends of Tame Valley Wetlands) will allow local communities to have their say about the work of the Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership. Local residents, community representatives and local group members will be invited to join the group, meeting quarterly to discuss the work and strategy of the TVWLP as well as other topical issues to do with the heritage and environment of the Tame Valley Wetlands. This will be fed back to the TVWLP board and inform their decisions.
The first meeting of the Community Forum took place on the 16th of October 2017. It was attended by 14 members of the local community. To view the minutes, click here: TVW Community Forum Minutes 16.10.17. The next meeting will take place in January 2018, at a date to be confirmed.
