Saturday 12th (9pm to 12pm) to Sunday 13th August (10am to 4pm)
Become a wildlife explorer with the Tameside Local Nature Reserve group!
Join and help them on their quest to find, identify and record as many species of birds, bugs, plants and beasties as they can in a 24 hour period. All the documented species that you find will be registered with a local biological records centre.
Don’t worry if you don’t know any species, there will be experts there to tell you what you’ve found on the day! This is your chance to give it a go and learn something new, as well as helping your local wildlife database to grow.
Saturday 12th August: Starting at 9pm, we will walk across the reserve on a hunt to find bats and moths! We will finish about 12 Midnight.
Sunday 13th August: Starting at 10am, we will spend the day pong dipping, bug hunting and recording all of Tameside’s wildlife. We will then finish about 4pm.
Break will be from 12pm to 12:45pm. Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Find Tameside LNR along the Fazeley Road between Fazeley and Ventura Retail Park. Follow the cycle path.
